Core Roles:

  • Coordinate all produce department operations including management of product.

  • Receive and process daily produce deliveries and assess/verify product quality.

  • Manage retail floor produce operations during the day.

  • Maintain orderly and appealing merchandizing on retail floor.

  • Manage and maintain organization of produce department paperwork.

  • Maintain safe, sanitary and organized working/prep area, retail produce area, and produce walk-in refrigerator.

  • Maintain positive working relationship with produce vendors while ensuring product quality at point of delivery.

  • Act as point person for produce related questions from staff or customers.

  • Cooperative execution of other retail-related tasks as needed.

  • Ability to lift 20-40 lb containers throughout the day, and periodic 50 lb containers.

Days/Hours: Full-time, 6am-2pm Monday-Friday (will consider part-time)

Food Service Dept:  Food Prep Specialist (posted March 6, 2022)

 

Core Roles:

  • Coordinate with Lead Chef for daily food prep requirements

  • Prepare ingredients and follow established recipes or as directed by Lead Chef

  • Assist other kitchen staff in counter service, taking phone orders, maintaining clean stocked service case

  • Responsible for receiving vendor orders for food service

  • Oversight of kitchen staff when Lead Chef is not on site

  • Maintain clean sanitary workspace following Serv Safe protocol

  • Oversight and execution of daily closing/cleaning procedures

 

Core Skills:

  • Demonstrated high levels of organization and responsibility

  • Proficiency in knife handling techniques/skills

  • Experience in sauté cooking, construction of dressings, marinades and spreads

  • Outstanding customer service skills.

  • Ability to work cooperatively in a shared workspace. 

  • Effective verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform high quality work in efficient manner without supervision.

  • Team-oriented, problem-solver with high level of integrity.

  • Training in food service sanitation helpful (certification not required).

Starting Wage:  $18.00-$19.00/hour

Food Service Dept:  Dishwasher/Receiver/Customer Service Associate  (posted March 6, 2022)

  • Washing, rinsing, sanitizing food service kitchen dishes

  • Maintaining clean orderly workspace (floors, proper organization of clean/dirty dishes)

  • Prioritize dish cleaning/handling throughout shift to address chef needs

  • Receive food service orders/deliveries per department food handling procedures

  • Answer customer phone calls/questions in friendly helpful manner
